New Clock

I'll take it as a vote of confidence that the biggest complaint about the store is the same complaint as the last store: the annoying backward Magic Time Spiral clock.

Here's its replacement:

La Crosse Technology WT-3126B
12" Aluminum Atomic Clock
Aluminum case and White Dial
Arabic Numbers
Automatically sets to exact time, accurate to the second
Automatically updates for daylight saving time (on/off option)
4 time zone settings

You put a battery in it and it sets itself using radio frequencies, including updating for daylight savings time. What blew my mind is it only costs $25.

Perhaps we'll auction off the Time Spiral clock at Saturday's auction at the store.

I know we've had this discussion before, but I actually like the Magic clock and agree with the theory behind using it at the old store. When people are shopping you don't want them to be watching the clock.

In the game room it's a different matter. You want the people in that room to come in, enjoy themselves, buy some stuff, and then leave. It's why the comfy chairs are in the mom's lounge and not around the game tables. There are separate dynamics going on between the sales floor and the gaming area.

  4. But I like that clock...I had to buy the batteries for it...

Well, the masses should be happier now that there is a functional clock. It was fun having it there while it lasted (old & new store).

By the way, I want that clock.
