Chris Pramas from Green Ronin Publishing has some
interesting observations on the OGL developments, or as it's going to be called now, the GSL (Game System License). There is
additional blather about his post on Enworld, which then got
re-discussed on rpg.net. I would love to talk about the GSL, but I didn't pay $5,000.
The license is likely to be more beneficial to WotC than the OGL was, but I don't know what effect it will have on the overall RPG industry. I doubt it will be as bad as some of the doomsayers are predicting, and suspect it might be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteThat's not why I'm posting though. I'm posting because you linked to Pramas' blog, and a few posts back on that blog he posted about the release of a new computer MMOG that he was involved in that just released: Pirates of the Burning Seas. A MMOG where you play the captain of a ship during the age of sail.
I just have to say that you're both bastards for getting me into another MMOG ;-)
