I got my ogre gorger put together and primed. It's embarrassing to say, but I used a pin vice for the first time today. It was as easy as I thought it would be, with about the same level of hassle I expected. In the case of the gorger, there was just too much weight on his upper torso to mount without pinning.This exceeds the initial 500 points for our armies, but he's the first thing I add when I have the cash. He appears on a table edge of my choice, randomly sometime during the second and fifth round. He can't attack the first round, but he can certainly throw enemy troops into disarray.
Regarding the pin vice. I tried to use one, got frustrated, pulled out my cordless drill, used it.
ReplyDeleteKhador minis became quick and mostly painless, even those damned demolition corps with their two arms holding that freakin' ice maul of doom.
Just takes some ability to use a drill. Never had any problems with it.
