Free for All

Today was the first day that placing an order seemed like a free for all. There were so many price increases and discount reductions that my sales rep didn't even bother mentioning the changes as news. Some were news to him, actually. In my mind, today marked the unraveling of the game trade discount system, or at least a vigorous loosening. Manufacturers suggested retail price started having more meaning, as I increase prices on many items to make up for discount shortfalls or price increases. It was the beginning of net pricing.
